College Station ISD, Bryan ISD, and MSC OPAS work as Partners in Education (PIE) with the
Kennedy Center to provide quality staff development for teachers in integrating the arts into the core curriculum. Each year, this partnership provides a series of workshops in arts integration for a core group of teachers. The workshop presenter is a highly trained professional teaching artist with specialized training from the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

In addition to professional development, PIE also provides activities for students. Several times a year, MSC OPAS brings professional performances to Rudder Theater/Auditorium on the campus of Texas A&M University. Selected grade levels from local school districts are invited to attend these performances, based on the content of the performances and their correlation to the State curriculum standards. Additionally, each partner serves on the MSC OPAS Education Outreach Committee. Each year, this committe provides opportunities for a number of 4th grade students to attend Camp OPAS. Camp OPAS is a half day of integrated activities allowing students to experience various aspects of performing arts.
