My name is Debbie Furry. I have been teaching first grade at Southwood Valley for 6 years.   I also taught second grade at Lumberton I.S.D. for 20 years.     I graduated from Lamar University with both a B.S. and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education.  I am also a certified reading specialist.     I have a daughter, Holly, who is a counselor at A&M Consolidated High School.  My son, Richard, is assistant to the General Manager at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston. The light and joy of my life is my 2 year old granddaughter, Madeline.    I love teaching first grade at SWV.  The faculty and students are wonderful.
