1st Grade Dual Language
I am so happy and excited to be your child’s first grade Dual Language teacher! It is an honor and a privilege to have your child in my class. I will do my best to ensure that this year is full of learning, fun and friendship. My goal is to discover your child’s learning needs and take the necessary steps to meet those needs so that they can reach their full potential.
Let me share with you some aspects about my personal life:
My native country is Mexico, where I obtained my degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering at the Matamoros Institute of Technology. I am married to William, who works as a marketing specialist here in College Station and have two teenage daughters, Wanda, and Jewel.
We live with two dogs, one cat and a gerbil as our pets. I love animals, especially cats. It is a pity that we cannot have them as classroom pets! Years ago, I started working as a bilingual assistant and fell in love with the teaching field! After moving to College Station, I started the Blinn Alternative teaching certification program and successfully passed all my state exams as a bilingual teacher. I am very happy for achieving my dream to become a teacher and for having the opportunity to grow as a professional in this wonderful school.
