Hi!  My name is Kathy Bednarsky and I teach 3rd grade here at Southwood Valley Elementary.  I have been teaching for a total of 14 years.  I taught for 8 years in Pasadena, Texas before moving to College Station.  I have experience in grades one thorough four.  I love this town because of its friendly, caring atmosphere! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.   Growing up in a big family was always fun.   I am the youngest of 5 kids.  I have wonderful parents and lots of sweet nieces and nephews.  Teaching has always been my passion, even as a little girl when I would play "school."  My students are such a joy to work with and I consider them a part of my "extended" family. If you are in my class, you will be learning a lot, but will also have a great time!  I love to play all sorts of games with my students to help them learn. I am married to a wonderful husband and have three beautiful children.  They are all the light of my life!
