Reading strategies: -Look at the picture -Get your MOUTH ready to make the first sound -CHUNK IT, by LOOKing for a part you kNOw -SKIP then go back~read SKIP read -REREAD go back and read again -THINK about the meaning of the story -Reread -Search for clues -Ask for help  Literacy stations: Students will spend approximately 30-45 minutes each day working in literacy stations.  Literacy stations allow students to practice skills, work independently or with a partner, and make choices.  Some of our literacy stations are the overhead, computer, word work, big books, and classroom library.  During this time I will meet with small groups to provide instuction on each group's reading level.
