I am Marion Jones and I teach math, social studies, and science.  My team partner is Lynda Walley who teaches language arts and reading .  We have been teaching 3rd grade together for 12 years.           I have taught for 24 years, 21 of which have been in College Station I.S.D.  My husband is a local banker and we have 3 daughters.  We also have two rat terriers, Jingle and Cricket.           Math can be a lot of fun!  We will learn how to multiply, divide, measure, use fractions, solve problems, and many other exciting concepts.  We work in cooperative groups, with partners, and sometimes independently. In science, we will do many hands-on experiments which will delight you.  You will discover the true scientist in you by the time 3rd grade is over.  In social studies, we will look at how we are part of a community and will even complete an interview project to highlight our knowledge.           My goal is for each child to experience success as a third grade student.  The impact we make here at Rock Prairie should be a positive one .
