Welcome to the College Hills Computer Lab.
My name is Paula Josey and I am the lab instructor. I have been with CSISD for 16 years.
I teach approximately 600 students, Kindergarten through 4th grade. It is a joy to work with your children on a daily basis. I love to watch their face light up as they learn something new in technology that will enhance their academic future. Please feel free to email me at any time with questions or suggestions.
The Lab:
Our lab is equipped with 35 MicroAge PC Computers, an HP color LaserJet printer, a digital camera, several educational programs, and new this year, an interactive SMART Board.
Curriculum:
Depending on grade level, our students will learn to: name the basic computer parts, use correct technology terms, access one of our many programs, save files and personal folders, typing skills; with correct finger placement, create word processing documents, create slide shows, make graphs and spread sheets, Internet Safety, and accessing the Internet for information.
Internet Use:
To use the Internet at College Hills each student must have parental consent. Parents need to fill out a CSISD Acceptable Use Form, and students should turn it in to their grade level teacher. If your child has not turned one in, click on the following link to print a form so that they can join us in our quest for knowledge on the World Wide Web.
Please click on the 'Internet Use in the Lab' link at the top of this page for more information about Internet use.
When Emailing Ms. Josey:
If your email concerns a student, please put CH student-parent in the subject line, and include the students full name and grade level in the body of your message. This will ensure that I open your message, and not mistake it for spam.
