Hello. I am Ms. Lucio and I am the 1st grade dual language teacher at College Hills Elementary School. My assistant for the past 3 years has been Mrs. "Miros" López and she is a wonderful addition to our classroom.
First of all, I want to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas (close to the Mexican border). I graduated from Texas A&M International University in 2002. After I graduated with a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with a certification in Bilingual Education, I started to work at Zaffirini Elementary School where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade.
I recently received my master’s in elementary education from the University of Phoenix San Antonio Campus. Currently this is my 7th year teaching and I am loving it!
On a personal level, I have a wonderful fiancée named Merlin and two lovely doggies, Julie and Abby. My mother currently lives in Laredo but we try to visit as much as we can.
I am very glad you chose the dual language program for your child. I am looking forward to working with your child to meet all the goals we set out to reach!
