The 2009-2010 School year is my 8th year at Cypress Grove. Before I joined the family at Cypress Grove, I was a Literature Teacher at Hamilton State School for three years. The mission of Cypress Grove Intermediate School is to serve as a bridge for students as they transition from child to young adolescent. Together as educators, students, parents, and the community, Cypress Grove will create an environment that will nurture the development of self-sufficient, productive citizens.
As stated in the Cypress Grove Student Handbook, the services of the counselor are available for each of our students. School-related problems in class work, grades, and social adjustment are just some of the areas in which the counselor may help. Parents are welcome to contact the counselor for conferences about their child or explanations of testing results. If a student needs to see the counselor, he or she should stop by the main office after they have checked into class and received a pass from the teacher.
